Homemade Baked Chips

We had finished all the chips in our house and we were craving munchies.  I happened to have a bunch of potatoes so I attempted some baked chips.

I was following this recipe's baking temperature and time as a reference for myself.  I sliced up the potatoes and coated them with vegetable oil and salt.  I ended up overcooking them (or my oven temp was probably off) and the majority of them were burnt black.  Only a handful survived with a proper golden yellow.

I will definitely try it out again!  Hopefully, with keeping a closer eye on how quickly the chips are toasting.  My potato wedges, which I had popped in along with the chips, ended up perfectly crisp yet soft on the inside though!
